You can email me at wandsci AT gmail DOT com. I delete spam comments and flames, but will leave up differing points of view and will try to err on the side of leaving the comment up. Links to Amazon are referral links, but I only link to things I was going to write about anyway. I don't do many reviews, but when I do, I'll disclose whether I got anything for my trouble.

Guest Post Policy

I don't accept guest posts from content providing companies. I am happy to host guest posts from readers who want to write a post with a different or complementary perspective on the topics I usually discuss. If you are interested in writing a guest post, just email me. If you write for a content providing company, though, don't waste your time (or mine). This is not that kind of blog.

The Clean and Dry Baby Bottom Thing

At the end of 2012, I found that the bad news in the world was getting me down, and I decided to pick one thing and make it better.  The thing I decided to try to make better was the fact that there are many families in my community who cannot afford sufficient diapers for their babies. I decided to take the proceeds from ads and Amazon Affiliate links and buy diapers for a local charity. And on the off chance that my actions might inspire someone else to donate diapers in their community, I decided to post a running total of the clean and dry baby bottom days I estimate my donations have provided. The charity I chose asked for newborn, size 1, and size 2 diapers. I estimate a newborn goes through 10 diapers a day, a baby in size 1 diapers uses 8 diapers per day, and a baby in size 2 diapers uses 7 diapers per day. I'm using those estimates in the calculation posted on my blog.
